Virginia Mae Toon Bayles, 82, of Franklin died Jan. 23, 2005, at The Medical Center. The Cookville, Tenn., native was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. She owned and operated Bayles Brothers Grocery in the Prices Mill community of Simpson County for 25 years, along with her husband, the late Russell Bayles. She was a daughter of the late Minor Berry Toon and Emma Dee Cook Toon. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Crafton Funeral Home, with burial in Sulphur Spring Cemetery. Survivors include three sons, Donnie, Ricky and Jody Bayles, all of Franklin; a sister, Gertrude Dinwiddie of Franklin; and three grandsons, Todd, Eric and Benjamin Bayles, all of Franklin.
