Aloysius J. Van Loo, 76, of DeWitt, died Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at the University of Missouri Medical Center.

He was born October 26, 1932 in Jefferson City, the son of John and Margaret Rothove Van Loo. He graduated from Bogard High School and served in the United States Army.
On April 15, 1961 he married Eleanor Schnare in Norborne and she survives at the home.

Mr. Van Loo was a farmer and also worked as a truck driver for United Suppliers. He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Brunswick. He was also a member of Rucker-McAllister Post #7 in Brunswick.

Besides his wife, Mr. Van Loo is also survived by two daughters, Lisa Adcock and husband Stephen of Marshall and Julie Goedeke of Carrollton; and two grandchildren.

His parents, one sister, Charlene Van Loo, one brother, Robert Van Loo and one son-in-law, James Goedeke, preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 21, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Carrollton with Rev. Ken Criqui officiating under direction of Gibson Funeral Home in Carrollton. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery in Carrollton.
