Jay was an Artist, he enjoyed drawing and wood carving. He was a participant in the Arts and Industry Council. He was also involved with Community Inclusive Recreation.
Survivors include his father, Bruce (Deborah) Babcock of Plainwell; sister, Tera (Kelly) Grinnell of Morrice, stepsisters, Sarah Marshall and Lee Ann (Richard) Vanderhoff, both of Plainwell; and maternal grandfather, Paul Gauwitz of Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon Babcock, September 15, 2002.
The family will receive friends from 3-6pm Tuesday, at T M Hughes-Perry Mortuary. A memorial celebration will be held 6pm Tuesday, April 28, 2009, at T M Hughes-Perry Chapel, with Pastor Mark Hopper of the Potters House, officiating.
