VINSON, JACK E. - age 73, formerly of Lenoir City, passed away February 10, 1999, at the Adena Medical Center in Chillicothe, Ohio. Jack was of the Baptist faith. Veteran of the US Navy, serving during WWII at Pearl Harbor. Preceded in death by: parents, Lewis and Margie Gagley Vinson; sister, Dorothy B. Johnson; brothers, Robert H. Vinson and George G. Vinson. Survivors: son and daughter-in-law, Jackie and Jenny Vinson of Urbana, Ohio; daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Martin Wilk of Dayton, Ohio; grandchildren, Sean, Hollie and Carrie Ann; great-granddaughter, Samantha; sister and brothers-in-law, Joy L. and Hasson Norris, Gene (Blackie) Johnson, all of Lenoir City; brothers and sisters-in-law, J.B. and Shirley Vinson of Bellmawr, N.J., Tommy and Marie Vinson of Shreveport, La.; several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will gather at 10:30 a.m., Saturday in the Lenoir City Cemetery for graveside services with Rev. George Seay officiating. Military service to follow conferred by the East TN Veterans Honor Guard. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Friday at the Hawkins Chapel, Lenoir City.
