Elsie, age 84 passed away at Avalon Health Care. A resident of Hughson and Modesto, she was born in Ripon, CA.
She was predeceased by her husband of 26 years, Louis and her brother Frank Soares. Elsie is survived by her son Robert (Bob) and his wife Kendis of Hughson. Her daughter Lorene Marlin of Ceres and her fiance Jeff Armstrong of Turlock. She leaves four loving grandchildren, Anissa & Megan Bettencourt of Hughson and Heather & Christopher Marlin of Ceres; her sister Ann York of Modesto; brother John & (Frances) Soares of Colusa; brother Abel & (Julie) Soares of Modesto; and several loving nephews, nieces and godchildren.
Visitation will be on Sunday June 17th starting at 3:00 p.m... A rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. at Lakewood Memorial Chapel. A funeral mass will be held on Monday June 18th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Hughson. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.
