Roy "Bub" Charles Hennington Jr., 69, died Friday, Sept. 27, 2002.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 1, from the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Harold Isaacs officiating.

Interment followed in Oakdale Cemetery. Military honors were provided by the VFW Post 8568 Honor Guard.

Mr. Hennington was born Dec. 25, 1932 in Livingston, the son of Roy Charles Hennington Sr. and Louise Bean Hennington, both of whom preceded him in death.

Mr. Hennington served in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife, Edna Hennington of Livingston; daughters, Susan Hennington Smith and husband David of Hurst, Bobbie Hennington Kirkland of Votaw and Ollie Nell Hennington Gage and husband Thomas W. of Magnolia; son, Jimmy Kale Hennington of Port Arthur; grandsons, Keith Jones, Kevin Kirkland, Caleb Kirkland, James Smith and Ben Gage; granddaughters, LaNeigh Brown, Lanell Kirkland, Candace Smith and Molly Gage Ashe; six great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Bettie and Lt. Col. (Ret.) Henry H. Tomme; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry and Jenelle Hennington and John and Edith Hennington; four nephews and two nieces.

Pallbearers were J.L. "Rastus" Maze, Dale Pittman, Buddy Thomas, Keith Jones, Kevin Kirkland and James Smith.
