Aszlie Bomkamp, 91 of Sextonville, died on Thursday, April 16, 2009, at the Richland Hospital. She was born on July 13, 1917, in Basswood, the daughter of Bert & Delilah (Hardy) Standish.
On June 25, 1938 she married Greg Bomkamp at St. Mary's in Richland Center. They farmed in Muscoda and Ithaca while raising five children. She loved gardening, feeding & watching birds.
Aszlie is survived by four daughters, Kay (Ron) James of Sextonville, Donna Beecher of Madison, Karen (Gary) Hardy of Richland Center, Diane (Roger) Hisel of Ithaca, Son, David (Mary) Bomkamp of Apple Valley, MN, 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, A sister, Zola Hinkle of Muscoda, A sister-in-law, Edna Standish of Muscoda, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Aszlie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Greg, an infant son Dennis, and 2 brothers and 4 sisters.
A Funeral Mass was held on Monday, April 20, 2009 at 12:00 PM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Muscoda with Father Emmanuel S. Famiyeh officiating. Burial was held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery.
