Mr. Bechie was born in Pittsburg, August 21, 1900, to John and Mary Brandzel Betchie.
He was an employee of Youngstown Sheet and Tube Co., Briar Hill Works, 29 years as first helper in the open hearth division, retiring in August 1965.
He was a member of St. Ann's Church and the Slovak Home, both of Farrell, and the Valley Senior Citizens Bowling League.
Surviving are his widow, the former Anna Miklosovich, whom he married in 1930; two daughters Mrs. Thomas (Joan) Ballish, Lorain, Ohio, and Mrs. Vincent G. (Vilma) Matsko, Hickory Twp; a sister, Mrs William (Matilda) Palmer, Warren, Ohio; two brothers, John and Albert, both of Sharon, and eight grandchildren.
