Mrs. Eva Loretta Straughn, 92 of Louisa, VA, died Thursday, December 28, 2006 at her home.

She was born July 30, 1914 to the late Noah Duvall Fleming and Maude Jackson Fleming. In addition to her parents, her husband, Harry "Billy" Straughn and one son, Clyde preceded her in death.

Surviving are twelve children, Ina White, Harry Straughn and Thomas Straughn of Englewood, NJ; Susie Powell and Hazel Williams of Teaneck, NJ; Edna Betz, David Straughn and Michael Straughn of Louisa, VA; Alice Wright of Petersburg, VA; Doris Napper of Martinsville, VA; Patricia Foster of Sugar Hill, GA; and Lewis Straughn of Montgomery, AL; ten in-laws; 29 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; two sisters, Lucy Long of Greensboro, NC and Mae Montgomery of Washington, DC; two brothers, Calvin and George Fleming of Washington, DC; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services held at 1pm Saturday, January 6, 2007 at County Line Baptist Church, with the Rev. Walter H. Jones, Sr., officiating. Interment in the churchyard cemetery.
