Mr. Allen of Burgaw was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Quincy Allen and Mary Ann Allen; two brothers, Fred Allen Jr. and Ralph Allen; one sister, Pauline Allen Cameron; a daughter, Celia Allen Kentrolis; and a grandson, Robert Earl Allen Jr. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Claudia Cameron Allen; three sons, John Allen Jr. (Ruby), David Allen (Bonnie), and Robert Earl Allen Sr. (Thelma); two daughters, Pamela Allen Lewis (Johnny) and Mary Allen Lewis (Gary); fifteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Peggy Allen (Earl) and Dorothy Fisher; numerous nieces and nephews; and other loving family and friends, including a special daughter-in-law, Vickie Allen. Mr. Allen's grandsons served as pallbearers. He died at age 72.
