Donlan Charles Windemiller passed away April 13, 2009, in San Antonio, Texas. He was born August 11, 1935, in Washington, D.C. to John Joseph and Nora Bell (Hicks) Windemiller. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired as a Superintendent with Mundy Construction. He was a member of the Houston Canoe Club and loved fishing, hiking, 4 wheeling, canoeing, and sailing.

Mr. Windemiller is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Nelia Rohr. He is survived by his wife, Jane Windemiller, of San Antonio; sons, Donlan Windemiller Jr. and wife, Carolyn, of Baytown, and John Joseph Windemiller and wife, Rhonda, of Moss Bluff; daughters, Eva Sanders and husband, Larry, of Baytown, Sherri Iliev and husband, Velizar, of San Antonio, Wendy Ann Windemiller and husband, Francisco Moran, of Austin, and Deborah Jenkins and husband, Duane, of Brooks, GA.; brother, Duane Windemiller; sister, Joy Myers and husband, Fenton; grandchildren, Daryl and Eric Start, Jacob McClain, Trey and Bryan Windemiller, John, Justin, and Jordan Windemiller, Dustin and Crystal Ellerbe, Lauren, Taylor, and Christine Jenkins; and great grandchildren, Daryl, Taylor, Eric Shawn, Josiah, Carter, and Curtis.

A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, April 25, 2009, 1:00 p.m. at Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home.
