Mae Burright services Saturday
Funeral services for Mrs. Donald (Mae) Burright, 63 of Clarinda will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday at Walker-Merrick Funeral Home with Rev. Ervin Ortmann officiating.
The family will meet friends at the funeral home from 7:30-9:00 p.m., Friday evening.
Mrs. Burright died Wednesday morning at Methodist Hospital in Omaha following an illness of a year and a half.
She was born July 19, 1915, near New Market, the daughter of Perry and Bertha Clark Long. In 1936 she was married to Donald Burright who survives.
Mrs. Burright had been a secretary at the Clarinda High School since 1960. Prior to that she had taught school.
Besides her husband of the home she is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Alan (Ruth) Poulin, Atlantic, Iowa, Mrs. Lewis (Eleanor) Bargeron, Diamond Bar, Calif., Mrs. Willis (Martha) Alexander, Colorado Springs, Colo. Mrs. Dave (Sharon) Williams, Hannibal, Mo., and Mrs. Doyle (Rosalie) Nally, Boise, Idaho. There are 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Brothers and wives are Clyde and Maybelle Long and Lee and Bernice Long of Clarinda. Grace Long of Lenox is a sister and Hope Long of Council Bluffs is a sister in law.
Burial will be in Guss cemetery.
