Robert Anthony Berlik


A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 6, 1999, in Blue Mountain Foursquare Church in Baker City for Robert Anthony "Bob" Berlik, who died Dec. 2 at age 72. A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Dec. 8 in Willamette National Cemetery.

Mr. Berlik was born June 16, 1927, in Milwaukee. He moved to Portland as a teen-ager and graduated from Gresham High School. He served in the merchant marine and the U.S. Navy during World War II. He graduated from Oregon State University. He taught junior and senior high school for several Oregon schools, most recently in Molalla, and retired about 25 years ago. He lived in Baker City for seven years and was an active member of the church. He married Shiri Shank in 1978.

Survivors include his wife; son, Michael of Mount Angel; daughter, Cindy McNatt of Scotts Mills; stepson, Rick Shank of Athena; stepdaughters, Cheri Blaylock of Turner and Vicki Haragan of Beaverton; sisters, Janette Young of Portland, Delores Mitchum of Yakima and Edith Mulkey of Salem; and seven grandchildren.

The family suggests remembrances to a memorial fund in care of the church, P.O. Box 407, Baker City, OR, 97814. Arrangements are by Gray's West & Company.
