Funeral services for Mary D. Gonzales, 67, of Lubbock will be at 1 p.m. Friday, April 17, 2009 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church with Father Jose Kochuparambil officiating. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 16, 2009 at Guajardo Funeral Chapels. Burial will be at Peaceful Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Guajardo Funeral Chapels.

Mrs. Gonzales passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2009. She was born on Oct. 31, 1941 to Pilar Villa in Sweetwater. She married Casiano Gonzales on April 18, 1965 in Sweetwater.

Mrs. Gonzales was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She worked at Texas Tech University for several years until her retirement.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband, Casiano Gonzales; two sons, Richard Gonzales and Daniel (Elma) Gonzales of Lubbock; two daughters, Christina (Richard) Martinez and Michelle (Alex) Torrez of Lubbock; 16 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Cecilio Villa of Sweetwater; and sister, Celia Johnson of Nebraska.

Pallbearers will be Carlos Benavides, Michael Martinez, Richard Martinez, Eric A. Gomez, Daniel Gonzales, and Richard Gonzales.
