Mary Kay Lomax
SPRINGFIELD - A celebration of life will be at 1 p.m. Friday, March 7, at the Scottish Rite Masonic Temple in Eugene for Mary Kay Crumbaker Lomax of Springfield. She died March 2 of a stroke at age 87.
She was born Oct. 15, 1920, in Great Falls, Mont., to Calvin and Kathryn Harbaugh Crumbaker. She married William Williamson on Dec. 17, 1941, in Petersburg, Va. He died in 1970. She married Warren Lomax on July 11, 1989, in Roseburg.
She graduated from the University of Oregon in 1946 with a bachelor's degree in business administration and from Oregon State University in 1966 with a master's degree in guidance and counseling and business education. She received a doctorate in 1974 from National Christian University. With her parents, she owned and operated Eugene Business College. She taught piano and voice lessons and was a career educator.
Survivors include her husband; three children, Calvin Williamson of Alvin, Texas, Albert Williamson of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Erilda Waters of Bradenton, Fla.; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in Garfield Cemetery in Garfield, Wash. Arrangements by Nelson's Bay Area Mortuary in Coos Bay.
