Mrs. Annie Louise McConnell Alley, 73, died at 5:20 a.m. Friday at Holston Valley Community Hospital following a brief illness.She had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Marie Linkous, Route 4, Church Hill, for the past 25 years. Born in Scott County, she had been a resident of Hawkins County for the past 46 years, was a member of Okolona Methodist Church and attended Liberty Hill Evangelical Methodist Church.Other survivors include sons, Elmer 0. and J. Edgar Alley, both of Church Hill; sister, Mrs. Nellie Sanndidge,Surgoinsville; brothers, Rev. D. B., Weber City; Ezra, Rogersville, Dave, Watseka, Ill., John, Kingsport, and Otis McConnell, Sunnyside, Wash.; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Louise McConnell Alley, 73, who died Friday will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home chapel. Officiating will be the Rev. Jack Sturgill and Rev. L. D. Lane. Burial will be in the Church Hill Memorial Gardens. The body will remain at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Saturday. Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
