Karl M. Frank, 78, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2009 in Norman, Oklahoma. He was born July 19, 1930 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Karl and Lois (Anderson) Frank, Sr. After graduating from Bethany High School in 1948, Karl joined the United States Navy. After completing his tour, he worked for the U.S. Postal Service, retiring after 37 years, and continued in the Oklahoma National Guard as a Colonel, Commander of the 445th Aviation, retiring in 1990. Karl also graduated from Southeastern State University with a bachelor's degree in May of 1981. Karl is survived by sons: Terry Frank and wife Sally of St. Louis, MO Daniel Frank and wife Nanette of San Diego, CA Steve Frank and wife Karen of Chandler, AZ daughter, Karla and husband Jon of OKC step-son, Mike Weldon and wife Anna of Murfreesboro, TN step-daughter, Kim Weldon sisters: Marcheta Rodkey of Norman, OK and Mary Ann Smith of Wichita Falls, TX grandchildren: Taylor, Mason, Lacha, Alicia, Evan, Sarah, Ethan, Steffi, Samantha great-grandchildren, Grace and Ellaina stepgrandchildren: Kyle, Garrett, Chandler, Alex, Christopher, and Adam. He is preceded in death by his wife, Fran. Memorials may be made to the Parkinson Research Foundation, PO Box 20256, Sarasota, FL 34276. Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M., Thursday, April 9, 2009 in the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel with interment following in Resthaven Memory Gardens.
