Wes' parents were:
Allen Break, b. Nov. 30, 1871 in Ontario, Canada and d. Sep. 23, 1951 in
Redlands, San Bernardino County, CA. &
Cynthia Clausen, b. 1876 in Denmark and d. Apr. 29, 1933 in Redlands, San Bernardino County, CA.

In 1898, when Wesley was only two, the family moved west, finally ending up at Bryn Mawr, known as Redlands Junction. He received his early education at the Old Mission School. After graduating Redlands High School, he joined the U.S. Navy Reserve and served during WWI.
On Jun. 22, 1921, he married Hermine Brauer, a teacher.

Wes and Hermine Break's children were:
1. Richard Allen Break, b. Sep. 19, 1922 and d. Jul. 26, 1995
2. Robert Brauer Break, b. 1925-).
