Magdalena was a daughter of Philip Schuyler and Ann Anderson Schuyler ( Ref: The Early Germans of New Jersey).
Magdalena married Frederick Hoffman (son of Henry Hoffman) about 1783. Frederick and Lena had six children including a daughter, Eve Hoffman.
The other children were Henry Carpenter (b: 1784-d: 1868), Anna Mary (b: 1788), Philip (b: 1789), Peter F. (b: 1796-d: 1876), and Elsie Catherine (b: 1797-d: 1889).
Note: Elsie Catherine first married William Read (b: May 1797-d: 1831), a son of John Read b: 1774, and had two sons William and John and a daughter.
After William's death in 1831, she married Matthias Apgar (b: 1783-d: 1863) and had seven children.
