I, Loren R. just received transfer of this memorial on 02/03/22. I will be researching many resources, transcribing, editing, and then posting an updated biography for Francis sometime in the near future. At the present time I'm comparing and updating all my memorial's information with familysearch.org. Thanks for your patience, Loren.

Crystal Cathedral Article from Mildred Bartosh regarding her husband:

Mildred often thinks of the bitter struggle Francis went through for his engineering degree at the University of Nebraska. He was up at 4 a.m. to fire Greek Houses' furnaces. Then after class on to what he called a "Hash House" where he learned some kitchen art, "much to my advantage" in later years. If that wasn't enough, he played his violin over the dinner hour at the YMCA for his dinner nights he wasn't hashing.

Shortly after graduating from the University of Nebraska, Francis and Mildred left for Missouri and resided in Webster Groves until 1956, Then on to California. At the time of Francis death, 1966, he was Senior Elder and President of Dr. Schuller's Consistory of Garden Grove Community Church, which later sponsored and became Hour of Power and the Crystal Cathedral. Mildred was also church secretary and remained employed by them in various capacities until her retirement in 1985
