DEATH OF MRS. MARGRET BIRMINGHAM:
Mrs Birmingham, who has been a resident of Portland for the past 37 years, died at 7 o'clock Saturday evening last, at her home, 440 5th St. She lived a most exemplary life. After suffering for 12 years with rheumatism, the end came suddenly from complication of diseases. She came to Portland with her four children, from New York, where she was a student there in obstetrics, under such famous physicians as Dr. Carnaghan, Dr. Cox and Dr. Emmett, a nephew of the patriot Robert Emmett. Her death will be deeply regretted by a large circle of friends. She leaves a son and three daughters, Mrs. Margaret Rodgers, Mrs. Jane Koehler and Mrs. Katherine Kelly, also 27 grandchildren. The pallbearers will be selected from her grandsons. The funeral services will be held at St. Laurence's church tomorrow morning at 9 o'clock.
