Helen Ruth Alderink, age 102 of Grand Rapids, formerly of Lowell, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, August 13, 2013. Helen was a member of the Women's Christian Temperance Union and the South Boston Bible Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clare; daughter, Kay Alderink; daughter-in-law, Cleta Alderink; siblings, Lilah Wylie, Dorothy Brake, Floy Coombe, Gerald Kyser, Leo Kyser, Donald Kyser, Kay Podd, Margaret Rose and Marie O'Connor. She is survived by her children, sister-in-law, 16 grandchildren, many great and great-great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be Saturday 1:00 p.m. at South Boston Bible Church, 6958 Kyser Rd., Lowell MI 49331. Rev. Robert Roush officiating. Interment South Boston Cemetery. Visitation Friday 5-8 p.m. at Roth-Gerst Funeral Home, 305 N. Hudson, Lowell and Saturday 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
