Aileen L. (Gallatin) Billet, 91, entered into rest March 16, 2009, at her home in Dover. She was the wife of Marlet F. Billet, who died May 7, 1995.

Mrs. Billet was born March 8, 1918, in North York Borough, and was the daughter of the late Walter L. and Lois Mae (Shellenberger) Gallatin.

She was a homemaker and a graduate of William Penn H.S. Class of ' 36. She was a member of Bridgeway Community Church (previously the York Gospel Center) for 64 years and the AARP.

Mrs. Billet is survived by a son, Dennis A. Billet and wife, Sue Ann of York; three grandchildren, Jeffrey A. Billet, Joy L. Spangler, and Abby L. Billet; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-granddaughters. She was preceded in death by a son, Dale E. Billet.

Burial will follow at Mount Rose Cemetery.
