Ronald was the third child born to Floyd and Blanche Denney. He attended Madera High School where he played on the football team. He joined the Army during the Korean War and was stationed in Japan. Later, he help his father raise black angus cattle and worked for the California Department of Forestry. Towards the end of his career he was a Fire Captain and helped train new recruits. He was a great photographer and loved to take pictures of family and friends. His other hobby was hunting deer, elk, mountain goats and more.
