Funeral Services were held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, August 22, 1987 at the United Lutheran Church in Hampton. Interment was held in the Hampton Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Dora Christiansen

Dora Christiansen, the daughter of Hans and Maria (Broderson) Petersen, was born in Washington County, near Blair, Nebraska, on March 7, 1885, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on August 19, 1987, at the age of 102 years, 5 months, and 12 days.

She attended country school in Washington County.

On June 6, 1906, she was united in marriage to Fred Christiansen, on the family farm near Blair. He preceded her in death on December 19, 1971. After her marriage they lived on a farm near Hampton for 50 years, where they celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. In 1956 they moved into Hampton, and on July 4, 1974, she entered the Hamilton Manor.

Dora was a member of the Emanuel Lutheran Church in Hampton, and at the time of her death she was a member of the United Lutheran Church in Hampton. She was an active member of the Women's organization n the church.

She was also a charter member and past Worthy Matron of the Alice Chapter #313 of the Order of Eastern Star in Hampton.

Dora was preceded in death by her parents, husband and 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Mildred Wall of Aurora and Delight Plotts of Spokane, Washington; one brother Walter W. Petersen and a sister Frieda DeVinney, both of Blair; 3 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
