Gooding - Pauline R. Byram, 69, of Gooding, died Friday morning in a Boise hospital.
She was born April 14, 1912, at Parksons, Kan., and moved with her family to Twin Falls in 1913. She moved to Burley in 1914 and to Hazelton in 1919. She graduated from Hazelton High School in 1929 and attended Albion Normal School where she received her life diploma in teaching in 1931. She also attended Idaho State University and Colorado State Teachers College. She taught in Heyburn and Hazelton before teaching at Gooding for 24 years. She married Harry Clifford "Jack" Byram June 21, 1936, at Hazelton, and has resided in Gooding since then. Mr. Byram died in 1970. She was a member of Gooding First Christian Church, member and past noble grand of the Marguerile Rebekah Lodge 98, past president and Delta Kappa Gamma, and a member of the Gooding Garden Club.
Survivors are two sons, Gary B. Byram of Gooding and Erle B. Byram of Boise; a daughter, Carol Rae Goeckner of Wendell; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson.
Survices will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Gooding First Chrstian Church by the Rev. Harold R. Hake. burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Twin Falls. Friends may call at Demaray's Thompson Chapel at Gooding Sunday from 1 to 6 p.m. Memorials may be made to Gooding First Christian Church.
