Excerpt -- Martha, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Roth, was born March 31, 1845. She married William A. Winters, which union was blessed with three sons and five daughters. She died at her home near Eglon June 19, 1923, aged 78 years, 2 months and 18 days. Her husband and daughter Elva preceded her to the spirit world. The funeral services were held from the Red House Lutheran church of which the deceased was a member, Thursday, forenoon, June 1. Rev. D. M. Funk, of Oakland, and Rev. Peter officiating in the presence of a very large congregation. The deceased was a sister of Mrs. Lloyd Shaffer of Oakland and William E. Roth of Aurora.
