Mrs. Clute passed away on January 3, 2014, at East Texas Medical Center in Fairfield, Texas. Dessie Clute Graduated from Donie School. After graduation, she worked in Houston for a year. She then came back to the Marquez area and met Neil Clute and soon after they were married.

Her greatest accomplishment was having her children. She later was blessed with two wonderful grandchildren and recently a sweet great grandson.

After the children left home and Neil retired, he talked her into studying to get her Amateur Radio License. She had her license for twenty-five years. She met many great friends on the airways, and she really enjoyed talking to them all.

Dessie wanted to leave this message for everyone left behind "Thanks everyone for helping me so much. I love you all so much and will miss you, but it is time for me to join Neil, and we will rest together always."

She is survived by one daughter, Doris Smith and husband Mark of Teague; one son, Dennis Clute and wife Robin of Burleson; one grandson, Robert Smith and partner Casey Banazadeh of Jose, CA; one granddaughter, Sarah Hadlock and husband Bret and one great-great grandson, William Hadlock of New Braunfels; three sisters, Bonnie Clute of Marquez, Bobbie Flowers o f Centerville, and Nelda Vitek of Waco; two brothers, Troy Gibson of Nixon, and Robert Gibson of Bryan; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Mrs. Clute was preceded in death by her parents, Casey and Frankie Gibson; one sister, Cathy Green; one brother, Melvin Gibson, and her husband of 65 years, Neil Clute.
