GASTONIA - Myrtle Moxley McMahan, 64, passed away at her residence March 8, 2009.
She was born in the city of Millen, in Jenkins County, Georgia on Dec. 30, 1944, to the late Henry Thomas Moxley and Stella Landing Moxley.
Mrs. McMahan was a member of Baptist Tabernacle Church of Dallas.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Victoria Hope McMahan; brother, Herman Thomas Moxley; and sisters, Betty Jean Costner and Vera Lois Revis.
She is survived by her loving husband of over 46 years, Tom McMahan Sr. of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, Tom and Michele McMahan Jr., Gastonia, Dan and Amy McMahan, Kings Mountain; daughters and son-in-law, Lorri M. and Reggie Sim-mons, Gastonia, Tracy L. Moose and fiance, Jim Bradley Jr., Kings Mountain; grandchildren, Reg Simmons Jr. and spouse, Cheryl, Jessica Tench, Sandi McMahan, McKenna McMahan, Carlos McMahan and Kyle McMahan; and great-grandchild, Hudson Simmons and special friend: Frances Owens.
Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Baptist Tabernacle Church in Dallas. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with the Rev. Ralph Carver officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
