Edna Aldrich Passes At Age 67


Funeral services for Edna L. Aldrich, Haines, Oregon, 67 years, a life time Baker County resident will be conducted at 2:00 pm Thursday, May 22, 1969 at Grays West and Co. Pioneer Chapel.

The Rev. James H. Soden of the Calvary Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will follow at the Haines Cemetery.

Mrs. Aldrich was born Oct. 8, 1901 at Haines, Oregon the daughter of John M. and Minnie Taylor Burnside. Her parents were pioneer residents of the Muddy Creek and Rock Creek areas. She attended schools at Muddy Creek and was married to her husband, Lewis E. Aldrich in Baker on June 28, 1922. She was a life time resident of the Muddy Creek and Rock Creek areas and was a charter member of the Elkhorn Grange in which she held the 7th Degree. She passed away early Monday morning at a La Grande hosp. after an extended illness.

She is survived by her husband, Lewis E. Aldrich, her two sons, J. Gordon Aldrich of Haines and Lewis E. Aldrich, Jr. of Seattle, WA., 2 grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
