Ginger was born by C-section. The vet said that she came out screaming. And she was a screamer as a puppy for a long time. When I was leash training her she screamed down the street the whole time. She was the only pup in her litter; she was basically twice the size of a normal pup. I found out later that it was pretty common for the first litter of a Chow to be a single pup. But Ginger ended up being pretty petite.
Sadly, Ginger had both stomach and liver cancer. It came on very suddenly. I expected to have her after her parents died, but it wasn't to be.
