FORMER FILLMORE WOMAN DIES AT SALT LAKE
The Fillmore friends of Mrs. Angie Hinckley, wife of Dr. Elmer Hinckley of Salt Lake received a distinct shock last Sunday when news of her death arrived here. Mrs. Hinckley was the daughter of Mr. Thomas Callister, now of Lynndyl but formerly of Fillmore, and as a girl spent most of her life in this place where she numbered as her friends nearly everyone who lived here at that time.
Mrs. Hinckley was born June 9th, 1879 at Fillmore and married Dr. E. C. Hinckley of this place November 3rd, 1898, removed to Salt Lake in 1911. While the direct cause of death has not yet been learned, it is understood that it occurred as a result of a recent operation which she underwent in Salt Lake City. She recovered form the operation and was well on the road toward complete health when she received a back set from which her friends at that place soon found that she could not recover. Word was sent to all her relatives here and elsewhere, most of whom immediately left to be with her when the end came, but on account of the end coming so quickly were unable to reach Salt Lake in time.
Mrs. Hinckley is survived by her husband and their children: Eugene C., 16 years old; Alice A., 14 years old; and Virginia 3 years old, her parents, Thomas and Alice M. Callister, a brother T. Clark Callister of Fillmore and four sisters, Mrs. Ruby O. Ray of Provo, Mrs. Edna Starley of Delta, Miss Laura Callister and Miss LaNola Callister also survive her. Interment took place in Salt Lake City. The sympathy of the entire community here is extended to the bereaved relatives.
