Click image to open at full size.Fitzgerald was originally denied burial in the family plot at Saint Mary's Church Cemetery in Rockville, Maryland, because he was a non-practicing Catholic at the time of his death. Instead he was laid to rest at nearby Rockville Union Cemetery. His daughter Scottie was later able to reverse the Baltimore Diocese's verdict, and in 1975 Fitzgerald and Zelda's graves and marker were moved to Saint Mary's. Today it is the most visited site in the cemetery.
