Linda Sue Durham Anderson, 46, of Tallahassee, Fla., died Sunday at her home due to complications from lung cancer.

She was a native of San Antonio, Texas, a longtime resident of Northeast Tennessee, and had lived in different areas, but "her heart never left those beautiful hills, her dream was to always go home," her family noted.

Mrs. Anderson graduated from East Tennessee State University with a degree as a medical technologist. She worked in a number of hospital labs for a number of years.

She had been a saleswoman for Oakwood Homes and Tallahassee Home Outlet.

Her family provided the following statements, "She was an enthusiastic fan of the Tennessee Vols and Florida State Seminoles. She loved NASCAR, the Dallas Cowboys, the Indianapolis Colts, and the Indiana Pacers.

"She also enjoyed being spoiled by her husband, going on cruises often.

"Her favorite things in life were being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and her love of God."

She is survived by her husband of 19 years: Daniel Craig Anderson; two sons: Robert C. Anderson of Pensacola, Fla., and David R. Chrisman of Jacksonville N.C.; a daughter and son-in-law: Tricia and Keith Frederick of Tallahassee; three grandchildren: Alex Frederick, Michael Frederick, and Christopher Frederick; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Frank "Mike" and Lara Durham of Limestone and Phillip and Lisa Durham of Greeneville; a sister and brother-in-law: Rebecca and Sam Blackwell of Kingsport; her mother-in-law: Patricia Anderson of Indianapolis, Ind.; two brothers-in-law: David Anderson and Dennis Anderson, both of Indianapolis; several nieces and nephews; three special aunts and a special uncle: Marguerite and Bill Noble of Billings, Mont., Reba Jackson of Fall Branch, and Genese Jackson of Mims, Fla.; and several cousins.

She was a daughter of the late Frank and Wilma Jackson Durham.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Jeffers Mortuary.

The funeral service will follow visitation at 7 o'clock in the mortuary chapel. The Rev. Ronnie Baxter will officiate.

A committal service will be held at 11 o'clock Saturday morning in Pleasant Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
