Mrs. Winona Mae Ruby Lee, 68, of Bellville, Texas, died Monday, March 27, of cancer.
Born Dec. 4, 1931, in Olney, MD she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Martha Virginia Savage Ruby.
She was raised in the Gaithersburg, MD area, graduated from Gaithersburg High School and attended two years of business school.
Mrs. Lee worked many years for Bechtel Energy Corporation, Houston, Texas, as a secretary and recently retired from Trinity Medical Center in Brenham, Texas.
She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church of Bellville.
She is survived by a daughter, Donna Lee Machemehl and husband Paul of Bellville; a son, Duane Lee and wife Linda of Richmond, Texas; three sisters, Peggy Ramseur of Thurmont, Darlene Day and Janet Jordan, both of Ijamsville; two brothers, Harry Ruby of Emmitsburg, and Raymond Kauffman of Frederick; and four grandchildren, John and Beth Machemehl of Bellville, and Jacyln and Cory Lee of Richmond, Texas.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 30, at 2 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, Bellville, with the Rev. Willie Rotter officiating.
Interment will be in Oak Knoll Cemetery, Bellville.
