Funeral services for Albert Hamann, 84, retired farmer who had lived in Momence since 1919, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Grant Park Evangelical church with Rev. Alfred Braun officiating. Burial will be in Heusing cemetery. Mr. Hamann died Monday night in a Kankakee nursing home after a lingering illness.
Born in Germany May 11, 1870 he came to this country at the age of two with his parents and settled in Grant Park. He was married to Alvena Schultz, March 17, 1898 in the Grant Park Evangelical church. She preceded him in death April 14, 1937.
He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Lena Bryan, Momence; brothers, Rudolf, Herman and William; sister, Mrs. Anna Seybert; and two grandchildren.
