Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, Richard Grant Atkin, 72, passed away April 9, 2000.
Born September 19, 1927 in Salt Lake City to William George Atkin and Vera Gulbransen.
Richard graduated from West High School and attended LDS Business College and the University of Utah. He also faithfully served his country during World War II in the U.S. Navy. After 40 years of service with Young Electric sign company Richard and his wife Joyce, retired to St. George.
Survivors include his wife and lifelong "best friend" of 51 years, Joyce; daughter, Victoria Lee Holloway; grandchildren, Eric Marlin Smith, Michael Lee Holloway, Brittany Ann Holloway, Heather Rose Atkin, Amber Lynn Atkin, and great grandchild, Tabitha Raine Smith.
He was preceded in death by his two sons, Robert W. Atkin and Jeffrey L. Atkin.
Graveside services at the Salt Lake Cemetery.
He will be loved and missed by his family, many friends and business associates.
