Services for Will J. Bennett, 82, of Mayfield will be at 11 a.m. today at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield. The Revs.
Carey Puckett and Glenn Evans will officiate. Burial will be in the Bennett Family Cemetery. Mr. Bennett died at 7:50 a.m. Wednesday at his residence.
He served as executive vice president of the Merit Clothing president of Mayfield Manufacturing president of Bennett of New Haven in Fort Wayne, Ind. and vice president of McGregor of New York City. Mr. Bennett was listed in Business and Industry and Who's Who in the South and Southeast. He was a member of First Christian Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Boyd Bennett; one son, Stites Bennett of Mayfield; one daughter, Kitty Becherer of Shelbyville; one brother, James Bennett of May-field; one sister, Jean Ann Seavers of Mayfield; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. His parents were Garland and Viera Overby Bennett. Friends may call at the funeral home.
