Katherine was the youngest sister to my grandfather, Jowell Conner, as well as youngest child (of 10) born to Samuel James and Amanda Dobbs Conner. Her first marriage, to Richard Joseph "Moon" Ducote ended with his untimely death in 1937. They had three sons, Joseph Rush, Richard Jr. and Jere Day.

Katherine then married James Henry Riedemann (1886-1963) in 1951. It was also a second marriage for James.
