He was raised in Layton Ut and was a loyal graduate of Davis High School. Allen proudly served his country by enlisting in the Navy on May 28 1945.
He married Jocelyn Lee Thompson on March 2, 1946 and was later solemnized in the Ogden Temple; they were blessed with three daughters (Robyn, Susan and Debra) and one son (John).
He was a member of the LDS Church and served as a High Priest. He worked many years in the Grocery Business as produce manager until his early retirement due to a severe stroke.
After retirement Allen enjoyed gardening, fishing, camping and making new friends. He always had a wonderful gift of gab and knew no strangers. Allen and Joyce enjoyed spending their winters in their RV in Yuma, Az, where they met many new friends and acquaintances. He was an active member of the Good Sam Club and served as past president of Northern Utah Golden Spikers.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years Joycelyn; daughters Robyn (Robert) Buckley, Susan (Dennis) Gulbranson, Debbie and son John. He is also survived by his Brothers Paul Flint (Deanna), Calvin Flint (Dorothy), L Jay Flint (Itha), Sisters Faye (Donald) Weaver, Lucille Cox, 17 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Josie and Brothers Donald and Glen.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, 1 Nov, 08 at the West Point Lakeside Stake Center at 855N 4000 W, West Point. Friends and family may call Saturday 1 Nov, 08 from 10:00 a.m. to 12.45 p.m.
