She was born Nov. 30, 1926, in Springfield, the daughter of Jesse E and Beulah S. Potter Murphy. She married Jack A. Law in 1946; he preceded her in death on Feb. 21, 1991.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Kathleen Lamsargis; two brothers, Chris and John Sullivan; and a son-in-law, Michael Williams
She is survived by a daughter, Linda Williams of Springfield; three sons, Dan (wife, Kathy) Law of Chatham, James (wife, Ann) Law of Auburn and Jeffrey (wife, Tina) Law of Greenview; eight grandchildren, Craig (wife, Cindy) Law, Karen (husband, Chris) Jones, Jamie (wife, Trisha) Law, Derrick Law, Beth (husband, Shane) Luttrell, Joey Williams, Josh Law and Sarah Law; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Bernadine (husband, John) Langford of Springfield; two brothers, Robert Murphy of Divernon and Jerald Murphy of Godfrey; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Wanda was a lifelong resident of Springfield. She retired from St. John's Hospital as a Nurse's Aide in 1990 and was a full-time baby sitter out of her home prior to working at St. John's.
She was a member of Eastview Southern Baptist Church. She enjoyed working with ceramics, reading and shopping. She also enjoyed baby-sitting and spending time with her family.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2009, at Staab Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb, 25, 2009, at Staab Funeral Home, Pastor Benny Fisher officiating.
Burial will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Children's Miracle Network or American Diabetes Foundation.
