The former Alice Donovan was born May 24, 1908, in Loretto, daughter of the late Timothy Donovan and Matilda (Haglund) Donovan. She graduated from Norway High School in 1925.
Alice was a member of First Baptist Church in Norway, where she married Arvid John Anderson on March 28, 1938. He preceded her in death on Aug. 11, 1970.
Alice Anderson worked as a librarian for the Dickinson County Library system for many years.
She was survived by a daughter, Joan (William) Madsen of Sun City West, Ariz.; a son, Kenneth Anderson of Minnetonka, Minn.; two grandchildren, Dan Madsen and Kristian Anderson; two sisters-in-law, Margaret Donovan of Norway and Eugenie Donovan of Kingsford; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Susan Blomgren and Irene Callahan; and six brothers, William Donovan, Raymond Donovan, Chester Donovan, Clarence Donovan, Milton Donovan and Irving Donovan.
