George Graham, 75 years old, died at 12:45 o'clock yesterday afternoon at Fayette Memorial Hospital, following an operation on Monday for stomach trouble. He had been ill for some time.
Mr. Graham had been making his home with his daughter, Mrs. William Cupp 2306 Western Avenue, since the death of his wife, which occurred two years ago. They lived here until three years ago, when they went to Indianapolis for residence.
Mr. Graham was a veteran of the Civil War, serving in the 13th Ohio Cavalry. He is survived by ten children, Orville and Albert Graham, of Indianapolis, Robert Graham and Mrs. Maude Hallett of Portland, Oregon, Mrs. Fred Matney of Hamilton, Ohio, Mrs. Clifford Stricker and Mrs. Ernest Reuter of Anderson, Mrs. William Cupp and Mrs. Herman Hilbert of Connersville and Mrs. Carrie Locke of Indianapolis. Mrs. Locke, who had been at the bedside of her father, was called home yesterday by the death of her husband, Milton Locke. He suffered injuries in an accident at an automobile plant which resulted in his death.
Short services will be held at the Cupp residence at 7:30 o'clock tonight, conducted by the Rev. A.L. Bennett, of the Grand Avenue Methodist Episcopal Church. The body will be taken to Indianapolis tomorrow for services, which will be in charge of the G.A.R.
The body will be taken to Indianapolis at 10:30 o'clock Friday morning. Funeral services will be held in The First Nazarene Church at 2 o'clock. Burial will be in the Crown Hill Cemetery.
