Mrs. Mary M. Conner, 81, one of the oldest resident of Muir, died at her home in Muir Friday afternoon following an extended illness.
Mrs. Conner was the widow of Frank A. Conner, whose death three years ago lost Ionia County of its few remaining Civil war veterans.
Mrs, Conner leaves six daughters, Mrs. Nettie McClinchy, Mrs. Carrie West, and Mrs. William Dennis, all of Muir, and Mrs. Fred T. Evans, Detroit; Mrs. Glenn McLaren, of Grand Rapids, and Mrs. Glenn Sayers, of Lansing. One son, Harry C. Conner of Muir, survives.
Funeral services will be held from the home Monday afternoon at 1 o'clock, and Mrs. Conner will be buried in the North Plains Cemetery. Rev. Frank J. Walkup will officiate.
Mother of 7 children: Harry Adelbert, Jeannette "Nettie" P. (Conner) McGlinchey, Carolina "Carrie" M.(Conner) West, Mary Matilda (Conner) Evans, Myrtle (Conner) Dennis, Ruby Fern (Conner) Sayers and Alice D. (Conner) McLaren.
