Frances White Rudicill Boyd


Mrs. Frances White Rudicill Boyd, 79, of Moriah School Road, died Monday, Feb. 9, 2009, at Grace Heights in Morganton, N.C.

Born in Rutherford County on July 27, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Charlie White and Hester McFarland White.

A member of Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church in Casar, she was a friend to everyone and was Casar Citizen of the Year in 2001. Mrs. Boyd baked a multitude of pecan pies for area shut-ins and friends. She was loved by everyone. A health care technician for 30 years, she retired from Broughton Hospital.

Mrs. Boyd is survived by two sisters, Inez W. Hunt and Beunice W. Hester, both of Valdese; and a number of nephews and nieces.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Bill L. Rudicill and Bobby L. Boyd; a brother, Charles White; and a sister, Dessie White McKellar.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Stamey Funeral Home Chapel in Fallston with the Revs. Roy Miller, Sam Snyder and George Williams officiating.

Burial will follow at Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church.
