John A. Cox Is Called By Death ~~ John A Cox of 200 South Allis Street died at his home Monday afternoon at 1:35 following an illness with complications of diseases of four months duration. The deceased was born at Carterville, Ga., and has lived in Jonesboro for a number of years. Surviving are his wife Mrs. Eva Cox, four daughters Mrs. Georgia Going, Jonesboro; Mrs. Geneva McElya, Little Rock; Mrs. Juanita Gilliam, Trumann; Miss Jessie Mae Cox, at home. Two brothers Dolph Cox of Walnut Creek, Cal., and Eddie Cox of Cash Station, Ga. Funeral rites will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 at the Farmers Union Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. A. W. Harris, pastor of the Fisher Street Methodist Church. Interment will be at the Ransome Cemetery. (end). John is my Grandfather.
