JOHN FAULKNOR
John Faulknor, 79, of Johnstown died Thurday at Mediplex Nursing Home in Holyoke, Mass.
He was born March 1, 1917 in the town of Root, the son of John and Catherine Dingman Faulknor. Mr. Faulknor attended local schools.
He, along with wife, operated the former Anna's Taxi in Johnstown. He was a musician with several local orchestras.
Mr. Faulknor was a member of Retired Musicians Society.
Survivors include his wife, the former Anna Slack; two sisters, Hazel Etherton of Johnstown and Stella Pierrepoint of Gloversville and several cousins.
A service ill be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at A.G. Cole Funeral Home of Johnstown, with the Rev. Bruce Hoose, pastor of First Baptist Church of Johnstown, officiating.
A calling hour will be 9 to 10 a.m. will be at the funeral home before the service.
Spring burial will be in Speculator Cemetery.
