Hazel Marie Dixon 99, a longtime resident of the Parker, Idaho area died Jan. 12, 2009 in the Life Care Center in Idaho Falls.

Mrs. Dixon was born Sept. 1, 1909 at West Plains, MO. the daughter of William Bailey Reyburn and Birdie Ruth Perry Reyburn. At the age of 6 her parents moved to Idaho homesteading in the Henry's Lake Flats area of Island Park. She moved to Ashton, ID. so she could attend her schooling graduating from Ashton High School. She then worked for the Telephone co. as a operator.

She married Walter Alfred Dixon on Dec. 1, 1928 at Idaho Falls. The marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She and Walt lived the first five years in the Sarilda, Idaho area before moving to Parker where they resided until Mr. Dixon died in 2002. Hazel worked in the local potato warehouses and at the Parker School lunch program. She and her husband enjoyed raising a big garden as well as camping with the family.

Hazel is survived by her children - Grace Rhodehouse Inkom, ID.; Verna (Reed) Priest, Salome, AZ.; Eldon (Julene) Dixon, Arizona City, AZ.; Darline Hansen, Idaho Falls, ID.; She is also survived by one brother William Reyburn, Kititas, Oregon. 12 Grandchildren, 28 Great Grandchildren, 20 Great Great Grandchildren. Besides her husband and parents she was preceded in death by one brother, three sisters, two son-in-laws 0and one great great grranddaughter. The family gives special thanks to the Life Care Center and Creekside Hospice both of Idaho Falls.

Walt and Hazel lived together in Parker for many years and were well loved by all who knew them. They are both missed very much.
