Permelia Ann Carrier was born in New York state to Amos Carrier and Elsy Tichenor Carrier. She married James Moe in 1845 in Brookfield,Michigan. She was the mother of 12 children. The oldest son Perry Moe died in the Civil War. She had children in 4 states and eventually ended up in Dufur, Oregon where James died and is buried.She later moved to Carlton to be closer to her son Joe.

I know what happened to all of her children except James Jr. I will keep looking for him..
