WALLACE (FOXY) BEST
Wallace (Foxy) Best son of Frank and Josie Best was born in Norton County, Kansas.,February 19,1898 and passed away September 12,1968 at Oxford at the age of 70 years.
On January 8,1924 he was united in marriage to Enid Bryon(Bryant) and they moved to the community nortwest of Oxfor to make their home. In 1948 they moved to the community southwest of Oxford and into Oxford in 1966.
As a child he was baptized in the Brethern Church. He was a member of the I.O.O.F. of Oxford. He was a devoted husband, loving father, kind neighbor and enjoyed the friendship of everyone who knew him.
His father passed away in 1900(1899) and his mother in 1939, his brother Bruce Best in July 1968 and his halof brother Earl and Jim Duff and one granson Jim Natone ?
He is survived by his wife Enid, daughter Carol Blue, son Donal, three grandsons, Don, Ron, and Curt Blue all of Oxford, three half-brothers, Kenneth Duff, Logview, Washington, Roscoe Duff of Colville, Washington and Jack Best of Logan, Kansas, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted at Mitchell Funeral Home, Oxford, September 16, 1968 with Rev. Met Zerger Officating
Music was furnished by Dottie Jo Beeler, Path Manly with Mrs. Beulah Fish at the organ. Bearers were Jix Jones, Dean Johnsen, Eldon Thulin, William Manley Jr., Glenn Cowso and Kenneth Johnsen with interment in the Oxford Cemetery,Mitchell Funeral Home Oxford was in charge of arrangement.
